Q: I have more than one skater in LHA.  Do I need to complete 7 hours per skater or 7 hours per family?

A: The requirement is 7 hours per family, not per skater.

Q: Can I volunteer for a shift when my skater is on the ice during tryouts?

A: No, policy states parents aren't allowed to be volunteering while their skater is on the ice.  If you violate this policy, you will forfiet that volunteer shift time for the required 7 (seven) hours per season.

Q: How do I access Dibs?

A: Click into the Dibs tab on the LHA Volunteer Information page.  You need to use the username and password used to register your skater at the beginning of the season.  Your Dibs account is associated with your registration account.

Q: How can I sort the shifts in Dibs?

A: You can sort by Category, Duty, Time and Date.  Select the information you are trying to find and click Filter.  You can also sort from the main page by clicking on the header of the sessions, Time, Date, Duty etc.

 

FAQ #5

Q: What is the cancellation policy if I can't make my shift that I have claimed?

A: You must commit to the shift you've selected, cancellation policy is any time before 7 days of the shift.   Cancellations of your shift prior to 7 days typically is unable to be approved.  Please find a replacement OR email the volunteer coordinators.

Q: Who is exempt from the Volunteer Policy?

A: Families with ONLY a Mite Prep OR Jr. Gold skater are exempt, Board Members, One (1) Head Coach and three (3) certified assistant coaches on the roster per Traveling team,      Two (2) team managers per Traveling team, One (1) Head Coach per Mite team and two (2) certified assistant coaches on the roster per Mite team, One (1) team manager per Mite team

 

FAQ #7

Q: I can't get into Dibs and have multiple NGIN accounts.  What do I do?

A: Access to Dibs is only allowed by the account used to register your skater into LHA prior to the season starting.  If you have multiple NGIN accounts and want to associate the accounts together, send a ticket  TST Support Sport Ngin Support <support@tstmedia.com> and provide all account details.

 

FAQ #8

Q: My team manager has my family signed up to help with home games during the season.  Does this count towards my Volunteer Hours?

A: No.  Once teams are formed, volunteering for your own team at regular district games, such as staffing the penalty box, scorekeeping, clock operator or announcer, planning team parties, scrapbooking/picture taking does not apply towards your family volunteer requirement.
