Lakeville South coaches and development staff are happy to announce a shooting challenge for all South Hockey Players! The challenge is to shoot 5,000 pucks by September 30th, 2019. Players who achieve the goal and turn in the attached tracking sheet signed by a parent will be presented with a certificate of completion and recognized during a Lakeville South High School game during the 2019/20 season.
Please submit your signed shooting challenge sheet either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or place in my folder at Ames Arena in the cabinet next to the concession stand by September 30th, 2019.
Seth Baker, North Development Coordinator, is happy to announce the first summer off-ice training goals.
For year 1 we wanted to create a simple plan with challenging, but achievable goals by age group. The outline of goals is listed below.
Each player that achieves the goals stated above will receive a SHOT CLUB T-shirt and will be recognized at a High School game. More details to come, but your player should be very proud taking on this challenge and getting into the club!
Use the provided spreadsheet to track your work. There are tabs for Squirts, Pee Wee and Bantam. There is also a column for parent signature each week. Please have your completed sheets in my folder at Ames arena by Sept. 17th or take a picture of the filled out form and email it to me.
A message from Steve Nolander, IceCats Development Coordinator:
I am extending a summer long puck shooting contest to IceCats hockey players. The goal is to shoot as many pucks as possible by 8/31/19.
IceCats will have to shoot a minimum of 1,000 pucks to earn a Cat Club Member t-shirt. The player that shoots the most pucks at each level (U8, U10, U12 & U15) will also earn a bigger award (i.e., girls varsity game recognition).
*This actvity follows the honor system, so please ensure your player takes the shots.
A tracking sheet is available and must be turned in by 9/15/19 to Steve Nolander in order to receive your award.
