If you are moving up from Mite Prep or starting new we want to welcome you to the Lakeville Mites. Here is some basic information on the Mite program along with some frequently asked questions.
Mites is geared as both a learn to play program for first time players as well as a way to prepare the older players for the Squirt level. The goal of Mites is to provide a fun experience focused on hockey fundamentals and small area games.
Ages: Most players are in grades 1-3 with some Kindergartners.
Levels: All Mite players will participate in two evaluation sessions at the start of the season in order to sort players onto teams of similar skill levels. The three levels will be Mite 1, Mite 2 and Mite 3. Evaluations will be held on October 27th and November 3rd, 2019.
Mite 1 - Practices will be held on Saturdays and Sundays during the season. T
Mite 2 - Practices will be held on Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays during the season.
Mite 3 - Practices will be held on Tuesday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays during the season.
Season: 10/27/19 - 3/1/20
Coaches: We need as many coaches on the ice as possible to help out these players who are new to hockey. It is a pretty easy commitment as most of the practice plans are available for you. See the Coaches page for how to sign up.
Team communication: You can expect to hear from your coach approximately 2 weeks before the season starts.
Equipment needed: If you have questions, see the New to Hockey page.
