Interactive History Display at Ames & Hasse

In conjunction with both the history and Wall of Fame projects, we are working on creating an interactive History of Lakeville hockey display at Ames & Hasse Arenas.  We are hoping to acquire historical items that represent Lakeville's hockey past:

    • Game day Programs
    • Pucks, sticks, helmets that were part of big games in Lakeville
    • Newspaper clippings of articles from the early days of LHA
    • Panther and Cougar jerseys from every era
    • Pictures from Lakeville Heritage Center, Old Yearbooks
    • Pennants, banners, and team collectibles
    • Notable Alumus pictures or autographed memorabilia.

If you have anything to donate, we would appreciate it.  We want the display to supplement the book & link to the website.  For example, a person might see an autographed stick or jersey in the display with a scannable QR code. They could then scan it to their device, go online and read more about the significance of the item.

If you have anything to donate or want to learn more about projects contact Marcus Anderson.

Help Tell the Lakeville Hockey Story

We are compiling a comprehensive history of Hockey in Lakeville.  To achieve this goal we are taking on these initiatives:

    • A Wall of Fame project, where people can nominate players from Lakeville to be included in a display at our hockey rinks.
    • A research project complete with the history of Lakeville hockey as told by Wall of Fame nominees, Association coaches, board members and stories from the hockey community at-large. We also want to feature notable alums and founders of hockey in our city.
    • History Displays at Ames and Hasse ice arenas.

Examples of things we are looking for:

    • Your perspective of a State Tournament game or classic Sectional match-up in Lakeville hockey history
    • LHA Photos of varsity players & alums from their times on the ice "When they were Mites"
    • Newspaper articles, team photos, yearbooks, programs from the 70's, 80's, 90's
    • Stories from the "good ol days" when Lakeville Hockey was just starting out.
    • Pictures of awards, trophies, old school team jerseys...
